Welcome Home!

Well... since my brother bought a house and posted some pictures of his cute new place I figured that Randy and I should probably get around to doing that too.A few people have asked and so here it is! You can see our patch of grass... We ran out of money for sod but put in what we could. I'm pretty sure the neighbors aren't impressed. Yet. We need the crawling grass that grows in Texas. Does anyone know what that is called?

Backyard:

Our grass, what little we do have, is failing to thrive despite water and fertilizer. I also noticed one of our little trees is dieing as well. So SAD!

The Best of Times...

Well... that's what people say we will think when we look back at what we are doing now and remember the 'good old days.' When I look at our beautiful kids and my wonderful husband I can't help but think they must be right. Life is stressFUL lately but we have a lot to be thankful for! Here are a few quick updates- please note that I FINALLY figured out how to upload pictures!

Randy has been pounding the pavement around Nashville trying to sell pest control. I think I am safe in saying that it hasn't been fun and not so successful (keep us in your prayers). As a family we are very grateful to him for trying his hardest. He is really relieved to be done with his first year of teaching and coaching, and having lots of fun with the kids during our new game hour before bed time. We only see him for a teeny bit each day but we all love EVERY minute of it! Who wouldn't?

Beth (me) has been attempting school. I've only been able to get two hours in a day because of our new schedule. Slowly but surely I guess. Cool happenings on that front- I went to my first hair show at the Nashville Convention Center. It was interesting to say the least. I did note that for a large grouping of professionals that are supposed to promote good, healthy hair there wasn't very much of it! I've never seen so many colors of overprocessed hair in my life. I loved it! It made me want to get a hair cut. So far I have resisted the urge, but it is only Tuesday. We'll see.

Mikayla- Is very excited about her birthday and for whatever reason asked me if we could leave the house and go shopping at the mall for a toy... Hmmm. She is also sporting a new hair cut (compliments of mommy) and I have officially decided that we are going to try to grow it out so it looks more like little girl hair.

Rowan- As the little man of the house he is very active. He rolls rolls rolls everywhere. If he could have a theme song it would be from the wal-mart commercials when the smiley faces acted like cowboys and rolled back prices (circa a long time ago- anyone remember those?) Either way, he goes everywhere rolling and his knees are starting to toughen up a little. I hope crawling is in the far distant future. The less mobile the better! He also started baby foods and seems to like them. The first round didn't go too well but things have improved.

That's us in a nutshell!
